Get Even

I am actually hesitant to post this cause I'm not sure if its good enough. Anyway, first time for me to write with a little bit of pervyness so... just read and comment if possible.. thanks

Hwangbo Hyejung is pissed off.  She just woke up and went straight to the rest room when she almost slipped. There’s a puddle of water on the floor. Her eyes were still half closed and she shrieked when the coldness of the bowl hit her bottom. Somebody left the toilet seat up. She stood up and put it down still trying to calm herself.  She took a quick shower to begin preparing for the Muhan Girl’s taping day. Once done she went to the sink to brush her teeth. Her anger flared up again when she saw the toothpaste tube uncapped and there’s still some paste left on the side. She brushed her teeth in a haze and head back to her room.

Hwangbo sat down infront of her dresser. She was about to picked up her hairbrush but can’t find it in its usual spot. She began looking for it and she found it in one of the drawers. She began surveying her room and can’t believe that it’s all a mess.  Then she noticed the sticky note posted on the mirror.

“Buin, I’m sorry. I’m in a hurry and didn’t wake you up. I’ll see you tonight. Love you- Shillang

“The source of all this mess” she mumbled to herself. She removed the note from the mirror and began arranging her room. Hyunjoong slept over last night since the party ended late and he’s a bit tipsy. He asked her to drive him home but she decided to just let him sleep over in her place since it’s nearer. They’ve been seeing each other for two years but she doesn’t allow him to sleep over frequently. Besides both of them are busy with their own careers so they don’t have much time to spend together.

Hyejung is aware that Hyunjoong knows what a neat freak she is that’s why he left a note for her. But she won’t give in with just that. She needs to get even with him and a devious plot’s already brewing in her mind.  After she finished fixing her room she then head out to Muhan girl’s location shoot. She sent him a message before the taping started.

“It’s ok baby. See you tonight”

It’s already eight in the evening when Hyunjoong arrived with a tub of ice cream in hand. He gently opened the door and went straight to the living room. She found Hyejung immersed in watching TV. Hyunjoong went to the kitchen and get them spoons so they can share the ice cream. Hyejung was just silently watching him and then whispered to herself “Let the games begin”.

When he went back, she’s already watching her show “Oh my God”. He sat beside her, took the remote from her hand and switch to another channel.

“Buin, let’s not watch that.” He asked her.

“You’re not showing your support for me with that act, Shillang.”  She replied and switched it back to her show.

“Buin, Iam very happy that you have a new show. I just can’t stand watching you with other guys. Please baby, let’s just watch movie.” Hyunjoong pleaded with a little aegyo.

“No, Shillang. I have to watch it. I need to see where I need to improved.” She sternly told him.

Seeing that he cannot persuade her girlfriend in this situation, he then decided to just distract her from watching. He opened the ice cream tub, took a spoonful and fed this to Hyejung.  She just took what he offered without even looking at him. Her eyes still glued on the TV. Hyunjoong tried to feed her again and just like the first time, she just took it and continued watching. He‘s already getting frustrated but it seems lady luck is on his side when the show ended after a few minutes. Hyunjoong’s grin widen when Hyejung snuggled closer to him.  He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her hair. Hyejung reached for the tub of ice cream and took a spoonful.  She even closed her eyes to savor the flavor while humming in delight. All the while Hyunjoong was gawking at her. When she opened her eyes she met his and she playfully licked the spoon. Hyunjoong swallowed hard and then grabbed her for a fiery kiss. Hyejung let him enjoy the kiss for a while but when she felt his hands on her tighs she pushed him away and whispered.

“We can’t Hyunjoong. We have to stop. It’s the time of the month”.

Hyunjoong was dumbfounded. He took a deep breath to calm him and run his hand on his unruly hair.  He then stood up and walked back and forth. After sometime he sat down next to her again. He put her arms around her shoulder but Hye jung pushed him away again.

“Let’s not start something we can’t finish, baby.” she calmly told him as she took another spoonful of ice cream. 

Hyunjoong was just staring at Hyejung’s lips as she ate the ice cream.  His mouth forming a small O everytime she took a spoonful. When she noticed him, she nudged him and then laughed.  She playfully planted a soft kiss on his lips and Hyunjoong tried to deepen it once again so she pushed him back while shaking her head.

“Stop eating that ice cream then. “ Hyunjoong demanded in a raspy voice.  She just smiled at him and took the tub of ice cream to the kitchen.

He slumped on the sofa while waiting for Hyejung. He tried flipping the magazine on top of the table when he heard her approached him.  Hyunjoong felt his soul left his body when she sat beside him and flashed a smile.  And when she placed her hand on her thighs, he swatted it and said while gritting his teeth.

“Hwangbo Hyejung. You’re going to be the death of me.”

“Me?” she innocently asked. “What am I doing to you?’

“You said we can’t do it now. Then why the hell do you have to eat that lollipop in front of me. ” he almost screamed at her.

“But Shillang, you said I can’t eat ice cream. I’ m craving for something sweet. “ She replied with a smile while licking the lollipop.

“Stop it Buin. Please. I’m hanging on a fine thread here.”  He answered back with eyes closed and trying to calm his nerves.

“Ok. Fine. I’ll just throw this away. “Hye jung stood up and threw the lollipop in the bin.

She went back to him and just hold his hands. He squeezed it back and just dropped a quick kiss on her lips.

“Buin, I better head home. I’ll just see you tomorrow.”  And he stood pulling her with him. 

 “Are you really going home now? I prepared dinner for you. ” she asked wrapping her arms around his waist as they walk towards the door.

“What did you prepare, Buin?”  He asked enthusiastically.

“ Unagi and fresh oyster. Then chocoloates and strawberry for dessert.”   Hyejung replied with a wink.

Hyunjoong released her and remarked. “I badly need a cold shower. I’ m leaving Buin.” and left her without looking back.

“Hyunjoong, just take this home with you.” She ran after him. She gave him a card and bid goodbye with a smile.

As she closed the door, Hyejung laughed out loud. Game over and she won this time. She wondered how he will react to the card. It simply explained that she doesn’t have her period and she just wanted to leave him hot and bothered since he left her room in a mess this morning. She took a quick shower and just as soon as she stepped out she received a text message. She rolled out on the floor laughing again as she read the text message. 

I’m going to get revenge one day, you evil woman. 

But you still love me anyway, right Shillang. She replied

Not even a minute passed, she received another reply.

“I do. I’m sorry for pissing you off this morning.  Good night Buin. See you soon.  I love you.

“And I love you too. Apology accepted and I’m sorry too. Good night Shillang. Don’t forget to take cold shower. “

Will you wait for me

“Congratulations.  Wishing you all the best”.

Hyunjoong was surprised with the message he received. Although the number is not registered in his phonebook, he knew by heart who owns this. He was just not expecting for her to contact him anymore. He began typing his reply and slumped on his chair after sending the message. It was short and simple.

“Why are you doing this?" 

He fiddled with his phone while waiting for the reply. His fifteen minute break from rehearsal is almost up.  He can’t describe what’s he’s feeling right now.  He almost dropped his phone when it vibrates signaling a new message.

“Why? Is it wrong to wish you all the best? To congratulate you? I only mean well Hyunjoong.”

He cant believe that she's really sending him this message. Frustrated, he dialled the number. Without any preamble, he asked her as soon as she picked up the call.

" What do you want Hyejung? Its over now right? Stop tormenting me. "

" Hyunjoong, can we be friends atleast? I know I hurt you but there's no sense in treating me this way. Its not easy for me too. " Hyejung replied.

" Friends? Huh Hyejung, Friends? he scoffed. " I never became friends with my previous lovers and I dont plan to change that. If leaving me was not easy, then why did you?

He can hear her took a deep breath before she answered him. All the while he's trying to maintained his composure so people around him will not notice him much.

" I have to Hyunjoong. I need to. Im tired of waiting for you. Im tired of being a second fiddle in you life."

" You were the most important part of me Buin. You still are. I believed in you when you said you'd wait. What happened Buin? Im doing this all for you."

Hyunjoong's about to break down.  His voice started to crack and Hwangbo sensed this so she just simply replied.

" Let's not part this way, Hyunjoong. I love you and I still do. Breaking up with you is a hard decision and believe that Im also hurt. I just have to do this. Take care of yourself. I'll see you around". she ended and hung up the phone.

Hyunjoong asked the trainer if he can be excused for a while. Not even waiting for a reply he left the training room and went straight to his car. He just sat there trying to calm himself. The incident 6 months ago is still very clear in his mind.

He was sitting on the couch, waiting for Hye jung to arrive. She attended a friend's wedding. He's very tired with all the preparation for his 1st mini album launch but since he hadnt seen her for a while he decided to drop by her place and just wait for her.  He already fed Jins and dosing a cup of tea when he heard the door opened. He stood up and greeted her but he was surprised with her coldness.

" Buin, are you okay? something bothering you?" Hyunjoong asked full of concern.

" What are you doing here? I thought you're busy."  she replied coldly.

" I just missed you so, Buin. " and he pulled her for a hug.

He's really confused with the way she's acting. She didnt return the embrace and just went straight to her room. Hyunjoong followed her. He found her just sitting on her bed staring straight at him.

" Hyejung, what happened?" he then asked again.

" Let's break up Hyunjoong. I cant do this anymore."  she replied.

" You're joking right? Im not up into some pranks right now Hyejung. Tell me what's wrong." Hyunjoong answered.

" Im tired of waiting for you. Waiting for the right time to let people know of our relationship. Tired of all this secrecy. Im tired pretending Im not hurt everytime you deny being in a relationship. I just cant take it anymore." Hyejung ranted. She's not looking at him but instead just staring blanky on the wall behind him.

" It wont take long Hyejung. Just give me some more time." Hyunjoong pleaded.

" When are you going to be ready? When you're fans can freely accept you being in a relationship. When you're not happy with your career anymore? When Im too old to bear a child? I dont think I can wait that long Hyunjoong. I want a family of my own."  she calmly declared.

" Why are you doing this Hyejung. You already knew our situation when you agreed to be in this relationship. Dont let me feel that Im the only one at fault here." he walked towards her and tried to embrace her but she blocked him as soon as he reached her. 

" I know its also my fault so I want to end this now. Its hard for me to do this but I need to. Set me free, Hyunjoong." and she handed the promise necklace he gave her for their 2nd anniversary.

" Buin, please, let's talk it over. After the release of my new album we can set things straight. I'll let them know about our relationship. " he again explained to her.

" Dont do that Hyunjoong. Dont do something you'll regret later. Im letting you go." she replied.  She stood up and walk towards the bathroom. " Lock the door on your way out" she said with finality.

" Hye jung, please. Hyejung. " Hyunjoong even pounded at the bathroom door as she called her but she turned deaf to him. When he got tired, he finally walked out of her house with a heavy heart.

Pretending to be okay during his first album launch was a struggle but he survived. He drown himself with work so he will not have time to think about her. And now after all his effort to heal his broken heart, she's back. Since he wont be able to focus on his practice, he decided to call his manager and told him he's not feeling well and going home. 

He drove around the block but cant find an open bar at eleven in the morning so he decided to head home. What he didnt expect was to find her sitting comfortably in his living room.

" Is this dejavu or what? why are you here Hye jung." he scoffed.

" Im just here to clear things up." she replied.

" Im not in the mood to bicker with you. As you see, Im okay. Now you can leave." Hyunjoong uttered.

" Hyunjoong can we atleast be friends. We used to be friends. Dont throw it all away just because we broke up." Hye jung calmly told him.

" I dont need your friendship. Dont turn the tables now. It was you who broke things up just because you got tired. "

" Because i dont know where I stand in your life Hyunjoong. I dont know if Im just waiting for nothing. That day when I attended the wedding seeing all my friends married and with kids, dont you know how jealous I was. I always dreamed of having a family and always wished and its gonna be with you. But I have to be realistic. Its not gonna happen in the near future. Even though it hurts and it hurt like hell. I have to let you go." she started to break down."  She slumped on the nearest sofa and just cried.

Hyunjoong was stunned after seeing her like this. With all the years they were together, he never saw her cry. He slowly walk towards her and pull her in a tight embrace. She wrapped her arms around him and he pulled her tighter. When her tears subside, Hyunjoong turned her to face him and wipe all her tears. He pulled her up and gently asked her to come with him. She's confused but she let him usher her into his car.

" I just want to show you something. " Hyunjoong simply explained. He didnt say anything after this and she just let him be.

After about thirty minutes, Hyunjoong stopped in front of a newly constructed house. He immediately went down and opened the door for her. She just followed him and was a bit confused when he ordered her to key in the security code of the gate. She shook her head but Hyunjoong took her hand and asked her one more time.

" You know it Hye jung. You know it by heart. " he instructed.

Hyejung just stared at him while punching in the numbers 1009 for their anniversary. She was startled when the gate unlocked. Hyunjoong gently grabbed her arms and they walk towards the house. He keyed in the security code, same as the gate code and ushered her inside.  The house was spacious. Walls are all white and the house was fully furnished. The living room displayed a  state of the art entertainment system. Hyunjoong still holding her hands lead her to the kitchen.  She was just looking in awe. He again lead her to the living room. She sat on the white sofa and was stunned when she saw the big frame adorning the wall. It was their picture in Bali from one of their escape day. The sun was already setting and she was on their room's veranda when Hyunjoong suddenly hugged her from the back. He then turned her to face him and give her a  soul shattering kiss. Little did she know that he already set his camera. She playfully hit his arms after and both of them laughed when they saw that the picture turns out to be real good. Now seeing it again, she was overwhelmed with lot of emotions. They were so happy then.

Hyunjoong was just watching her. When she sat down again he sat beside her. He again took her hands. For a while they just sat there until Hyunjoong broke the silence.

" Hye,jung this house is for you. I've been planning to give this as a surprise for our anniversary. Im sorry if you felt that Im neglecting you but please believe me when I say that you are my priority. Not my career or fame. I've been working hard to be able to save for our future.There's nothing in this world I want more that to start a family with you. All Im asking is just a little more time. Can you atleast think it over."

" All this months Hyunjoong, I tried to forget you. I went on blind dates and enjoy other guys company. What's funny is that every time I come home at night, Im still hoping that I'll find you waiting for me at home. I'll cry myself to sleep and wish that even just in my dreams you'll be there. I really want to have a family but with no one but you." she replied and hugged him. " Im sorry for hurting you. Im sorry I gave up easily. I promise to be more patient and wait for you." Hye jung added.

" Im sorry for making you wait Buin. I will do all my best to be worthy of you. I love you. " Hyunjoong replied.

" I love you too Shillang. Being away with you was hard. Thank you for not giving up on us."

" I wont Hyejung. " he uttered before pulling her for a kiss. When they stop to catch their breath Hyunjoong asked Hyejung.

" Would you like to move in here, Buin."

She shooked her head and said. "We will wait for the right time babe. And besides you said its not gonna be for long right?"

" Definitely babe. "and Hyunjoong smiled at her before kissing her again.
