“ Hwangbo Noona”
Hyejung looked back and was very surprised to see her “ex-husband” sitting on her favorites spot. She walked towards him and worried as she saw his haggard look.
“Hyunjoong-ah, what are you doing here?” she asked.
“Noona, take a seat. It’s nice seeing you again.” Hyunjoong ordered her with a smile.
Hwangbo pulled a chair and sat infront of Hyunjoong. She saw several cups of coffee on the table. She knew for a fact that he’s not into coffee and only if stressed will he drink one. She became worried and stared at his face. Dark circles are very evident on his eyes.
“Joong-ah, whats wrong? “ Hwangbo asked full of concern.
“What makes you think something’s wrong, Noona?” he answered.
“I’ve been married to you for seven months Hyunjoong. I can read you like a book. Now come on. Spill it out” she replied.
“You haven’t read the papers or watched entertainment news lately? “ Hyunjoong enquired.
“Haven’t got enough time to do that. Been busy lately. Why?” Hyejung honestly answered.
“You’ve been missing a lot. Haven’t heard of my scandal, right?” Hyunjoong uttered with a deep sigh.
“You’re what? “ Hyejung exclaimed. “What did you do Hyunjoong? Got a girl pregnant? Sex scandal? What have you been thinking?” she asked non-stopped.
Hyunjoong laughed at her which made her more confused.
“Noona, calm down. “ He said.
“How can you laugh at this matter Hyunjoong? Now, tell me what kind of scandal you got yourself involved with.”
“I only laugh at it because I know it’s not true. If you want to hear everything about it, attend my press conference tomorrow. I’ll go now Buin. “And Hyunjoong abruptly stood up and leave the bewildered girl.
Hwangbo stayed for a while enjoying her cup of coffee and trying to think of another plan on how to grant her mother’s request. She knows that if she didn’t produce a boyfriend soon, her Mom will set her up with her friends’ sons. Suddenly she heard her phone beep.
“Buin, come to Park Hyatt Hotel tomorrow around 10am”
Hwangbo was surprised that Hyunjoong still got her number. She replied and then decided to head home.
“Hyunjoong-ah, I’m surprised that you still have my number. And regarding tomorrow, I’m not sure if I can come but I will wait for the news on TV. I know it’s going to be the headline.”
She’s already on her way home when she received reply from Hyunjoong.
“I know you’re curious, Buin. Better be there”.
Hwangbo just scoffed and decided to ignore Hyunjoong’s message. When she arrived at her place, she saw her phone blinking, signaling a message in the voice mail. She dropped her bag at the couch and retrieved the message.
“Hye Jung, I’ll be coming over your place tomorrow morning.
Hwangbo became agitated. Her Mom coming over will mean blind date. She decided to call her to check why she needs to see her tomorrow.
“Hi Omma, how are you? “She started.
“I’m doing fine Jungie. I’m coming over to see tomorrow, ok?” her mother stated.
“Mom, I’ll be out tomorrow morning. I’m already seeing someone." Hwangbo replied with gritted teeth. She doesn’t want to lie to her own mother but she don’t have a choice
“Is that true baby? Well good. Then there’s no use in setting you up with Woo Joon.” Her mom answered with glee.
“Woo Joon? Omma is he the geeky guy from our old place?” Hyejung enquired with disbelief.
“Yes, Jungie. The only son of my good friend Kira.” Her mom replied.
“Forget that Omma. I will never date that guy. Besides my man is better than him. You’ll be surprised when you meet him.” She bragged.
“Ok Jungie. Set up the date. I’m looking forward to meeting him.” Her mom responded.
“Soon, Omma. Bye for now. I’ll see you soon. Take care.” She bid goodbye.
HyeJung slumped on the couch after the call. Now, she’s more in trouble. Who will she present as a boyfriend to her mother? But she doesn’t really want to date that geeky guy. When she got tired of thinking she just took a quick shower and sleep.
At around eight o’clock Hye Jung began preparing for the day. She doesn’t have any planned schedule but she decided to just go out and unwind. She was surprised again when she received a text message.
“Buin, I’ll wait for you. – Shillang”
" Aissshhh.." Hye Jung grunted. " What will I do. Should I go and see him?"
