It will Rain

Hello guys, this is the sequel to Happily never after. Hope you enjoy and leave me some love so I can write the 3rd part..lol

p.s.very long and unedited. Don't cheat and just check the ending okay?

It will rain

If you ever leave me baby,
Leave some morphine at my door
‘Cause it would take a whole lot of medication
To realize what we used to have,
We don’t have it anymore.

Hyunjoong calm himself as he watched her turned to him and wave goodbye. It took him a lot of strength not to slump on the floor when his heart was breaking into pieces. When she turned her back and started walking away, he almost run to her but he felt his manager’s grip on his arms.

“People will know it’s you, Hyunjoong-ah. Let her be.” But then he tried to wriggle free. His manager now holds him tighter and uttered.

“Do you want her to be mobbed by your fans? Do you want her to be on the headlines? Think, Hyunjoong. Think about her. Don’t be too irrational.”

When his manager mentioned this, it seemed like someone threw water at him. No, he doesn’t want her to be caught by her fans. He can never let them hurt her. This is the mere reason why he kept his relationship with her a scret for so long-to protect her

He swatted his manager’s arm but just stood there. Waiting, watching till he can’t see her no more. He stood there for almost an hour, just looking at people passing by. If not only for his manager who keeps on tugging him, he wouldn’t leave. Head down, Hyunjoong let him guide him back to the company’s van but making sure that no one’s going to notice them.

As soon as they arrived in their hotel, Hyunjoong locked himself up in his room. His emotions on awry, he reached for his phone and dial her number. Hyejung’s phone was off but he kept on dialing. Frustrated, he threw his phone on the wall, it fell on the floor broken- just like his heart. Only then he realized that he’s been crying. He loved her more than anything in this world but it’s too late. He thought he was protecting her by keeping their relationship a secret but in the end, it only pushed her away from him.

Hyunjoong’s manager slowly entered the idol’s room after several hours. He was staying on the room next to him and he heard him crying for some time. He pity Hyunjoong but what can he do. He’s too famous that everything he does will be picked up by the press people and fans. He knew of Hyunjoong’s relationship with Hwangbo, he knew that he really loved her just as much as the woman loved him back. He tried to help them in some ways he could but it’s just really tough. Now that Hyejung decided to leave Hyunjoong, he never blamed her. She endured four years already.

He found Hyunjoong sprawled in the bed, a half empty bottle of tequila in one hand, while the other hand clutched a small square box. His manager also found his Macbook on the floor so he picked it up. He was about to turn in off when he accidentally saw something. Hyunjoong booked an early flight the next day to Seoul. He left him to sleep; he draped a blanket over him and just vowed to wake him tomorrow so he can catch his flight.

Hyunjoong can barely open his eyes but someone’s been shaking him. He almost hit the person but then he heard him said.

“If you want to bring her back, put yourself together, Hyunjoong-ssi. Take a shower now so we can fly back to Seoul.” And he hand him two capsules and the glass of water.

Hyunjoong took the medicine and head to the shower. When he came out dressed, his bags were already packed and ready to leave.

“Thank you, Hyung and I’m sorry for acting like an idiot ” Hyunjoong uttered after several minutes of silence. They were already on the way to the airport and since it’s just two in the morning, roads were still deserted. They arrived in the airport in no time, checked in and boarded easily. All the while his manager just nod and just let him be. After a few hours, he was dropped off in his place in Apgujeung.  He thanked his manager and took his bag but before he walked away, his manager told him.

“Hyejung is one tough woman, Hyunjoong. You have to prove that you’re worth all the tears.”

Hyunjoong just nodded and went his way to his apartment. Cold and darkness greeted him. He turned on the lights and head to his room.  His heart  ached all the more when he saw Hyejung’s picture on the wall. She was sitting on the shore, her head turned to him and she was smiling sweetly. He took this photo in one of their secret rendezvous in Jeju Island. She was happy, even her eyes were smiling. He loved the picture and he asked a friend to frame it so he can hang it on his bedroom wall. Now staring at it, he wondered what went wrong. Hyejung seemed to be happy; they were okay as far as he knew. Her asking for break up came as a surprise.

Hyunjoong decided to take a shower and then left his house. He tried calling Hyejung but she’s not answering. He then went to her place pushed the password and he was surprised that it didn't work. Thinking that he just entered a wrong password, he tried again but still it won’t open. Hyejung already changed the code. He banged on the door, but no one answered. He waited for almost thirty minutes yet his calls were unanswered. Head down, he doesn't have any choice but to just leave.

Now it’s more than a months since Hyejung left him. Every day he would call her, he would send flowers and drop by her place but she was really elusive. He tried to contact her friends, but all of them kept mum about her where about. It seemed like she really doesn't want for him to find her.  Hyunjoong beg for his manager not to schedule anything. He even requested for a meeting with Keyeast and advised them that he’s going on a vacation and he wanted to rest. But in reality, he was just in Seoul, looking for the woman he loves.

It was already two in the morning when Hyunjoong decided to drop by in Hongdae. He just came from Hyejung’s place but he just waited in vain.  He was sipping cola while listening to the man playing guitar and singing in the street when he heard a laugh that he can recognize where ever he is. He turned to where he heard the sound and there he found her. Hwangbo Hyejung laughing with her friends as they walk towards the nearby parking area. He ran after her but he was also careful for her not to see him. When they got in the car, Hyunjoong followed after them. When they reached her apartment, he saw her friends leaving. He waited for about a few minutes and followed after her. She was already closing the door when he reached for her. He gently pushed her in and closed the door.

“Hyejung-ah, I'm going crazy looking for you. I miss you so much.” He told her. His voice croaked as he tried to fight his tears.

“ Hyunjoong-ah what are you doing here? I told you we’re over. Please stop this.” Hyejung replied.

“Hyejung, please, let’s work things out. I can’t live without you. I’ll leave the industry if you asked me to. Just please come back to me.” He pleaded.

“I know what kind of man you are Hyunjoong. You are strong .You’re just hurt so you’re saying these things. Give yourself time and you will soon forget about me.” She refutes- her face void of any emotion.

“Tell me you love me no more, only then will I leave you,Hyejung” Hyunjoong although unsure dared her. He moved closer to her and took her by the shoulders.

Hyejung stared back at him, smiled and answered. “I don’t love you anymore.”

Hyunjoong shook his head in disbelief. Hyejung removed his hands and walk towards the door.  He was still dazed but he walked towards her. His tears falling he tried to look at her but she turned her face from him.  He walked out and watched as the door closed in his face.

Hyunjoong spend the whole week in his apartment. He would just look at their pictures, watched their videos together and reminisce. He knew that it’ll only hurt him all the more but he can’t let go of her yet. He kept on replaying her video message for their last anniversary.

“I love you, Shillang- my Hyunjoong-ah.  I will love you till my last breath. I will do anything just to make you happy. I promise that my heart will always be yours.”

One evening, his manager insisted to come over his place even if he refused. He just simply gave him a newspaper and said.

“It’s time to move on, Hyunjoong-ah.”

Three days after that incident, a big press conference was held in Seoul Regency. The press didn't know who called it and what the event was for but all they knew was that it’s a big artist. They all gasped and cameras began clicking when they saw Hyunjoong walked in the stage.

“Good evening everyone, I’ll just make this very short and we won’t be entertaining any question.” He paused and continued as the press wait with abated breath.

“I will be entering military by tomorrow. I just came to let you all know and perform one more time before I go. I wish everyone will wish me well and see you all in two years.”

The room turned into a big pandemonium but they all settled down a bit when Hyunjoong sat by the piano on the side of the stage.

“To the woman, whom I will love forever. I’m sorry for hurting you and for all those years I made you cry. I wish you’d be happy and that you’d find the man who will love you the way you deserve to be loved. I wish you’d find your one true love and I wish you all the great things in life. I love you so much that even if it hurts, I wish you will be truly happy with him” Hyunjoong confessed and started singing.

Same bed, but it feels just a little bit bigger now
Our song on the radio, but it don't sound the same
When our friends talk about you all that it does is just tear me down
Cause my heart breaks a little when I hear your name
And it all just sound like uh, uh, uh

Hmmm too young, too dumb to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby is dancing, but she's dancing with another man
.

I hope he buys you flowers, I hope he holds your hand
Give you all his hours when he has the chance
Take you to every party cause I remember how much you loved to dance
Do all the things I should have done when I was your man!
Do all the things I should have done when I was your man!

“I love you, Hyejung. Be happy.” And he broke down in tears as he walked out of the stage. He was walking too fast that a cut out page of a newspaper fell from his hand. On it written in bold letters

“Hwangbo Hyejung and Kang Dong Won, very happy in each other’s arms.”

Happily Never After

Annyeong, I know I promised that the 100th post would be for SOTR but I was able to finished this first. This maybe a three part fic.anyways i wrote it mid March but stopped and just finished this today.Havent got some sleep, I'm with some of JBPH girls having a slumber party.lol..and yes they're coercing me to post an update..lol..so let me know what you think.. Ciaio!

Happily Never after

“Where are you Hyejung?’ he asked as soon as I picked the phone. His voice stern and I heard him trying to even his breathing.

“Hyunjoong, didn’t I state it in the letter. I’m in Hong Kong.” Hyejung replied with a sigh.

“Come back home, Hyejung and let’s talk. I’ll wait for you.” He ordered.

“No. I still have a few more days left here. And besides, I see no point in talking, Hyunjoong I already made it clear to you." She rebuts.

“I said let’s talk first.” Hyunjoong insisted.

“Its final, Hyunjoong. I gotta go now. Good bye” and then she hung up before he can even reply.

Hyejung slumped down on her bed. She decided to fly to Hong Kong after talking to Hyunjoong a week ago. She decided to finally end their four year relationship after a lot of thinking. He didn’t want to take it. He thought she just needed time to cool off and after sometime he’ll find her back in his life. But this time she already made up my mind. No more doubts, no more second chances – it’s all over.

When they started going out, it all seems like a fairy tale. He was a young prince, handsome and charismatic while she was like an older not so good looking commoner. A lot of people were surprised and against their relationship but this knight in shining armor swept her off her feet and rescued her.  Hyejung once believed that they will end up with their own happily ever after but too bad, reality took over.

Two days already passed since Hyunjoong called. Hyejung spend her days going out with friends and exploring the area. They also did some charity events with the help of Compassion.  Tonight is her last night here so she decided to go back to the hotel early. She was trying to pack her things when she heard the bell rings.  She rushed towards the door and checked first who’s on the other side. She almost didn’t open the door when she saw who’s knocking- it’s not other than Hyunjoong.

She took a deep breath before slowly opening the door. Hyunjoong went straight to the
living room not even waiting for her to let him in so she followed him reluctantly.  She found him standing in the middle of the living room, his back towards her.  When he heard her walk and sat in the couch he turned to her.

“Hyejung, please stop this joke. Go back to Korea with me.”

“You think this is all a joke, Hyunjoong? Well it’s not! It’s over between us and just let me go.”  She snapped at him.

“Why, Hyejung? I need to know what’s wrong." Hyunjoong asked.

“It’s not working anymore.  I’m so tired of waiting for you- of the uncertainty of our relationship. I cannot wait till you’re ready and mature enough. I want to have my own family and kids too.”  Hyejung replied.

“Are you going to give up that easily, Hyejung? Are you going to throw away four years of being together?" Hyunjoong asked again. This time he took a seat on the other side of the couch, looking at her.

“Do you think I didn’t try hard enough? Do you think this is really easy for me? She asked her tone accusing.

“Then why do we have to end? Tell me and make me understand!”  He snapped at her.

“Because you are a star and you’ve drifted away. I can’t reach you anymore. It’s time to let you go.” Hwangbo replied with finality.

“I’m doing this for you, Hyejung. You said you’d support me. Why do you have to give up now?” Hyunjoong asked- his voice pleading.

“I’m doing this for you too, Hyunjoong. You’ll thank me later for this. Let’s break up.” Hwangbo stated.

Hyunjoong flew to Hongkong, firm to make her change her mind. He was hopeful and almost sure that she will take him back. But looking at her stance, knowing and loving this woman for years, he knew that she's admant with her decision. He slowly walked out and reached out to her in desparation.

“Don’t make this hard for both of us. Let me go, Hyunjoong. Set me free.”  She pleaded this time.

“Will you not regret this, Hyejung. Can you just let me go easily?” Hyunjoong asked again.

“Maybe I will regret it, maybe I will have hard time letting you go, but I’ve decided and I know I’ll get over you in time. You will too, Hyunjoong.”  Hwangbo answered.

He watched her turn her back on him. Then she walked away slowly and uttered.

“Thank you for the four years, Hyunjoong. Just take care of yourself and good luck on your career.”

Hyunjoong, conceded when she saw her walked away. He tried to say something but nothing came out. He tried to hold the tears on his eyes as he walked out of her room and her life.

Hwangbo who was just sitting on her bed let her tears falls as soon as she heard the door closed. It was not easy letting him go but she has to. It took her about a month to finally come up with this decision. It was not easy; she prayed hard for guidance and she shed lots of tears. Remembering the fun times with Hyunjoong, all the travels and stolen moments spent with him. All those wonderful moment, can she give this up? But then she also has to face the fact that he will never be hers completely. He belongs to his fans. She cannot wait for forever for his fans to accept her. She cannot be a well kept secret for long. She cannot endure more years of sneaking out in the wee hours just to meet him, cancelled dates because of his work, denying that they still contact each other when interviewed and not being able to call him her man. She also wants to be loved bravely; to love freely and be together with her man without fear of rabid fans. It was tough but she has to make a choice. Either way it will hurt. If she let him go, it’s gonna hurt like hell now but if she hold on to him, she will always be hurt as long as their relationship is still in secret. There’s no other way but to be hurt.

The next day, Hwangbo was in the check in counter of the airport to go back to Korea. She was wearing dark glasses to cover her puffy eyes. She can feel that someone’s looking at her, the hair on her nape stood up. Only one person can make her feel like this- Hyunjoong. She looked back and saw a figure standing near a beam a few meters away.
She slight waved her hand and uttered…

“Good bye Hyunjoong…Good bye, shillang.”

Of Showers and Secrets

He just arrived from his meeting with Keyeast about his upcoming projects. This is just one of those less busier days and he’s looking forward to taking good rest before his new drama starts. He key in his security code and darkness greeted him. He turned on the lights on the hallway and check in the living room but it’s empty. So as the dining room and the balcony. He made his way to the bedroom and took a sigh of relief when he noticed light coming from suite’s bathroom since the door is light ajar. He took off his jacket and decided to head to the shower.

Hyejung slowly opened her eyes a she felt that someone was watching her. She was a bit surprise when his gaze met hers.

“Are you planning on sleeping in the bathtub, Buin.” Hyunjoong teased her.

She just made a grunt and lifted the tub’s stopper with her foot. The water slowly drained as she reached for her fluffy robe. Hyunjoong assisted her out of the tub and she just kept her silence. She head back to their room and picked up her pajama’s on the bed and dressed up quickly. She began her nightly ritual as Hyunjoong carefully observed her. After sometime, he mumbled something Hyejung didn’t even understood and went to the bathroom. She heard the shower’s hizz indicating that he’s taking a shower. Hyunjoong came out after ten minutes freshly showered and just wearing boxers.

Hyejung was brushing her hair when she saw him approaching. He stood just right behind her and pried the brush from her hand.

“Tell me what’s bothering you, Buin.”  He asked while gently combing her hair.

“What makes you think that something’s wrong, Hyunjoong-ah?”  Hyejung answered with a question.

“First of all, I noticed that you have been avoiding me. Every time I come home, you’ll be asleep and you always leave before I even wake up.” Hyunjoong replied.

“You always arrived very late and I need to leave early. I’m not avoiding you.” She countered.

“Lately, every time I tried to get intimate with you, you have been dismissing me. You always say your too tired or not in the mood.” He added.

“That’s your fault for getting an older girlfriend Hyunjoong-ah.” Hyejung again rebut.

“Age is and will never be an issue with us, Hyejung. Tell me what’s wrong?” Hyunjoong coaxed as he still combed her hair and looked at her thru the vanity mirror.

“I’m just too tired with work.” She reasoned out.

“I’m not buying any of your alibis, Buin. When I saw you on the tub earlier, I just knew that something’s really troubling you.You love taking a shower.Remember you told me that you only appreciate soaking in the tub when I’m with you OR when you’re too stressed.I was not there so I’m sure it’s the second choice. Now, tell me Buin, what gives? He prodded.

Hyejung took a deep breath and walked towards her side of the bed. She then took out an envelope from one of the drawers and hand it over to Hyunjoong. She then sat on the bed and stare blankly at the duvet. After a few seconds, she was startled when Hyunjoong speak up.

“When did you found out?”

“Two weeks ago. I’m sorry for not telling you immediately. I was the one at fault and I don’t know how to break this to you.” She worriedly explained.

“As far as I know, it takes two to make a baby, Buin so were both responsible for it. I’m very much sure that you’re faithful and the child you’re carrying is mine. I just don’t understand what you’re so worried about.”  Hyunjoong calmly enquired.

“Are you not worried about your career, Hyunjoong? Of how your fans will take this?I know that this will greatly affect your career and that’s why we’ve been keeping this relationship a secret, right?” Hyejung reasoned out.

“The reason why we’re keeping this a secret is because of you. I wanted to protect you from fans’ reaction and my career just came in second. We’re already way passed this stage so many years ago, Hyejung. Do I still need to prove to you that I value you more than anything?”  He replied as he sat beside her. He gently pulled her towards him and she laid her head on his chest.

“I can feel a big change coming, Shillang and I’m getting scared. When I saw the result the first time, I want the Earth to shake and eat me up. I want to turn back the time so I won’t miss taking that one pill. I’m too afraid of your reaction.”  Hyejung uttered. Hyunjoong felt her trembling so he reached out for a blanket and draped it over her.

“Buin, listen to me. I have told you time and again that there’s nothing in this world that I wouldn’t give just to make you happy. I can leave this industry if you say so. I have enough business and investments to support us. I’ve been waiting for you to finally set the date of our wedding. We’ve been engaged for two years and yet you’re still holding it off. I’m so happy to know that you’re already carrying our baby and if you want we can just register our marriage first then just have a ceremony after you give birth. Or we can have the ceremony soonest possible time. I can arrange it. Just tell me what you want, Buin.” He stated as he tighten his embrace.

“I’m sorry Shillang. I’m sorry for keeping this to you. I already apologized to our baby over and over these past few days. I realized how terrible and unworthy I am. I was too scared that I didn’t appreciate the gift that was given to me. I promise to make it up to her or him for the rest of my life.” Hyejung avowed.

“We will take good care of our baby. I will be here for both of you. Now, lay down and rest, Buin.” And he gently let her ease her body on the bed. He climbed on the other side and spooned behind her. He rests his hand on her still flat tummy. She scoots closer to him and he gently nuzzled the side of her neck.

“Is that the reason of your tweet the two days ago, Buin? About being sad yet happy?” Hyunjoong asked.

Hyejung turned to face him and nodded. Hyunjoong chuckled, playfully ruffled her hair and uttered.

“My silly Buin... From now on, no more secrets, okay?”

Hyejung sheepishly smiled and nodded again. The she asked.

“Will you come to the doctor with me for the next check up?”

 Hyunjoong quickly said yes.

“Will you be there to give in to my weird cravings?”

Hyunjoong nodded.

“Will you give me back rub when my tummy’s too big and not laugh at me when I waddle instead of walk?’

He nodded again.

“Will you be there for the midnight feeding and stinky diaper changing?”

He smiled, nod and kissed her cheeks.

“I love you, Shillang. I love you and our baby.” Hyejung uttered. She dropped a quick kiss on his lips and snuggled to his chest.

“I love you too Buin. I love you and our baby. “Hyunjoong replied and let his arms draped on her. And just before he closed his eyes, he gently whispered to her.

“Let’s get married in three days, Buin.”

Hyejung looked up to him and nod again with happy tears on her eyes.

“That’ll be lovely, Shillang. I’ll look forward to it.”
